Feb 2011. SE London Walk with Michael Herrmann. Starting at Waterloo, then along the embankment under the Wheel, passed the Garden Museum and into Vauxhall, to Bonnington Square SW8. This is a unique garden square, which was forgotten by the council and the surrounding buildings occupied by squatters. A garden group started tending to the sq and it has now become a community focus, with local cafes and activities. As you approach the square little signs tell of the resident’s pride, with every gap in the pavement planted by proud gardeners.
