June 2009. Another workshop planned by Pat and Simon to see how the developer Argent and the London Wildlife Trust can work together to improve and incorporate this gem of a nature reserve which in the middle of the Kings Cross redevelopment scheme. We started understanding what the nature reserve is, what it does and what it wants to be. It is all about keeping the biodiversity and tranquillity, but opening it up to more users in a sympathetic way. Argent have planning to improve access with a bridge and we felt taking the bridge above the roof of a new underground centre would be a good solution and explored ways of connecting it to other local sites. This would restrict direct access into the reserve, but allow people to appreciate what is there. Many users are people from the Eurostar station nearby who just want to sit in the reserves tranquil environment.
