May 2009. An opportunity to clear the mind. A 2500kms 4 day trip on the motorbike through France, via Norman Fosters Millau suspension bridge. France is a great country for road travel, as cyclists, cars and motorbikes all respect an help each other and work together. The scenery is fantastic and the superior roads and motorways make exploration even better. It was a long way to the bridge, but well worth it. The bridge towers above the Tarn valley and seems to even float when the mist settles below it. So certain was Foster of his work, that his Landscape Architects created a large observation mound, with ample parking and cafes to admire his work from. It cost £276 million and is 343m high.
