October 2009. Put together by our Sustainable Tutor, Michael Herrmann. Held at Knights Park and joined by Hannah Kingston Uni Sustainability adviser, Mieson of Transition Kingston and Land Share, Rosie Hornbuttle studying a Phd in Sustainability, John Fellows Transition Kingston, Randall Thomas Kingston Lecturer, Elise and Roz from the Kingston Sustainability Hub. We were split into groups with separate tasks of how to improve the environment at Knights Park University Campus. Our group came up with a project to make use of all the flat roof space above the buildings. Mostly to improve the environment, but to all insulate the buildings below and be as self sufficient as possible. We then had to present our ideas to each other for discussion. The lunch provided was very poor and did not consider vegetarians.
