October 2008. Whilst on the canal field trip we visited Munstead Wood, the historic home of Gertrude Jekyll designed by her friend Edwin Lutyens. The current owner was very kind in allowing such a large group of students, as long as none were Japanese, to be shown around by Andrew, her head gardener.
