Jan 2011. He has been making models for 20 years and really likes to do new things, aiming for an abstract interpretation, rather than the standard ‘developer’ box model. He intends for them to be unrealistic, but tries to get the essence and spirit of a landscape. Some of his most notable work has been for Will Alsop. One of the most unique models is ‘Made in Croydon’ for Hawkins Browns civil and public realm project. It is so unlike anything I would do, but I also admire its involvement of many leading people in the design, landscape, promotion and sustainable realm.
