The Royal Wedding Trees

April 2011. With an increasing respect for trees, I am delighted to see that Six English Field Maples and two Hornbeam's, up to 6m tall, have been used to doctorate the interior of Westminster Abbey, supplied by Tendercare. They will remain at the Abbey until the 6th May, then be replanted at Prince Charles’s Highgrove estate. This is fantastic PR for native English trees and shows how adaptable they can be. At least there will be no shortage of finance to ensure they establish as well as possible at Highgrove and reach their full potential.
